Smoked Mackerel Paté
Here’s a very simple recipe for a delicious paté that I was given to me by great grand-ma with the white hair.
- 12 oz smoked machkerel or kipper fillets
- 6 tbs white wine
- 2 tbs lemon juice
- 4 oz butter
- black pepper
- Heat the fish in a pan with a little water for a short while to soften. Remove skins and bones.
- Blend fish with wine, softened butter and black pepper to taste.
- Pack into a decorative bowl and place in fridge for a few hours to harden.
